Mascot Finishes
Chrome - We are able to finish our mascots in a variety of ways, however by far the most durable is chrome. Chrome plate is very hard, does not corrode or oxidise and can be cleaned very easily with hot water and detergent. For these reasons, it is our standard finish, will last for many years, if not decades, and is the finish which we usually carry in stock.
Other finishes are available if desired though;
Bronze - our models are cast in solid bronze and we can finish them in a plain patinated dark bronze colour. There is no additional charge for this finish, but it is not a 'standard' finish for us to carry finished stock.
Enamel - Hand painted cold enamel with a hard clear gloss varnish painted mascots are very special. We are able to take your photographs of a favourite pooch and hand- colour a mascot accordingly. Similarly, bringing a butterfly to life or personalising a racehorse jockey with your own racing colours can make for a very individual and personal mascot.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Nickel - Nickel plate is a slightly softer shade than chrome and suffers only light oxidisation over the years. Again, it is not a stock finish and there is no surcharge, but there will be a delay in manufacturing and finishing your mascot.
Gold - Gold plate can be offered as the ultimate mascot option. There would be a surcharge and a delay in delivery.
Antique Silver - Silver plate can be offered as a suitable finish for trophies, awards and desk ornaments. It is not suitable for car mascots as it oxidises quite quickly.
Sterling Silver - We have made solid Sterling silver mascots in the past.
Cast in Silver, fully hallmarked at Goldsmith's Hall in London and finished in hard, bright, non- oxidising rhodium plate.
